IDEF 2021 Has Been Postponed!

IDEF 2021 has been postponed with a decision taken at the last minute. IDEF, one of the most important fair events held in Turkey, was an event to take place between 25 – 28 May 2021. IDEF, the International Defense Industry Fair, decided to postpone it only a few months later due to pandemic conditions. The measures taken by the Ministry of Health play a role in the postponement of the fair, which will celebrate its 15th anniversary this year.

What is IDEF 2021?

IDEF 2021 Turkey is one of the most important fair events in the world, which is expected to be held for the 15th time this year. Participating companies from many parts of the world are also invited to this event held in Turkey. The fair has a program organized in the field of the defense industry where the innovations of that year are discussed and shared.

The IDEF 2021 exhibitor list also includes the world’s most important defense industry companies. The fair is also of great importance in terms of introducing the Turkish defense industry and transferring new initiatives.

The fair has been known as an event that has been held every 2 years since 1993 and is held with the participation of 71 countries. New collaborations are discussed and breakthroughs in the defense industry are introduced at the fair.

IDEF 2021 Reason for Postponement?

IDEF 2021 Istanbul has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and canceled its planned program on 25-28 May 2021. In line with the decision taken by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey, it was deemed appropriate to postpone the fair. As a result of the meetings held with the Corona Virus Scientific Board, it was decided by the pandemic experts to postpone the fair and many other events to a later date.

New Date for IDEF 2021

While IDEF will take place in the last days of May 2021, it has been postponed to August of the same year. It has been decided to hold this great event in the field of the defense industry on 17-20 August 2021. Although there is a change in the date of the fair, it has been reported that there will be no change in the fair content as a result of the explanations made.

The fair will be held in August 2021, as stated before, without any differences. It is expected that many new products will be introduced at the fair, where many foreign companies will participate. It is aimed to introduce the new steps taken in the field of the defense industry to the whole world within the framework of the fair.

IDEF, which was last held in 2019, made a great impression at that time and hosted many foreign companies.
